I have an 1990 Honda civic ex sedan with an engine swap of an 1994 Acura intgra Ls 1.8L ( B18B1 - motor GSR TRANS 5speed manual ) I replaced brand new idle air control valve fuel injectors Fuel filter fuel pump Fuel pump relay Fuel gauge sending unit Fuel tank ( tank strap holders ) Alternator Ngk-Spark plugs ( torque & gappe / 0.44-20ft lbs ) Ngk-Spark plug ignition coils ( top of spark plugs) ignition coil ( inside distributor) Oil / oil filter -5w-30 new starter wiring is OBD1 ECU P75 throttle body PGM-FI system mpfi swap I believe with all that being said I’m having trouble starting the car even tho with all those changes she cranks not starts I would appreciate anyone’s help really ❤

Check the dentent spring in the transmission. Those usually wear out and cause popping. $20-$30 fix; if it still happens, you have synchro issues.

I have a DOHC ZC motor. Do you think the process is similar? Someone told me it is, but I can't find any decent videos, unlike yours!

Something to mention here, in case people are replacing the on/off switch only: the rear side of the acceleration/deceleration button (this is the same one that sets the speed) has two small black posts on the inside. These can get lost as is my case today, so now, I have a working on/off switch, but I can't check to see if it works because the Set button has no way to connect to the membrane behind it. Now I need to find a new switch. Also, as mentioned by others, the screws aren't that long (and I don't know what various video authors mean by "captured screws": these fall out quite easily)., so be careful when unscrewing: the screw itself is maybe a 1/2" long, give or take. One of my screws fell out: thankfully, it was near the seam between the steering wheel and the rear housing. Of course, now I only have one screw holding in the module. Hopefully, this will be sufficient. I'm noticing that a number of video authors who've "covered" this subject don't really get into some of the specific particulars. It would be nice if we could see all the details, not just the ones the authors think are video-worthy. I can appreciate careful editing, but sometimes these details matter.

I figured out the best way is to switch the trip odometers out. You only need to remove one screw from each side of the bracket and slide it off.

Check into the rope instead of the cable. You will get better results with it and it is easer to handle.
